The Doctor of Philosophy in Food Studies programme offers students the opportunity to conduct research on food from the perspectives and methods of the social sciences. The programme prepares researchers and practitioners to tackle critical issues related to the cultural, social, economic, and political dimensions of food. Graduates are expected to venture in the academia, industry, government and non-governmental organisations at the local, regional or global level.

Masters
A Master's degree [Level 7, MQF); OR

Bachelor’s Degree
Passed Bachelor's Degree and has registered as a Master Degree by Research for less than one year, shown competency and capability in conducting research at the Doctoral Degree level, and achieved rigorous internal assessment and approval by Taylor's University Senate approval; OR

Other academic qualifications
Any other equivalent qualifications which is recognized by Malaysian government accepted by Taylor's University Senate.

For international students: IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 550 (May join IEN preparatory course and achieve the IELTS score). The validity of the IELTS or equivalent is within 2 years from the date of the examination.
