Bachelor of Education ( Early Childhood )

This programme trains those who desire to be educators especially those in the Early Childhood Education sector to become highly competent, innovative and ethical professionals who are able to contribute to the development of quality programmes for young children and their families in the country.  Our courses combine hands-on experiences with leading research and critical perspectives on theory, exposing you to the rich and engaging tasks that are directly linked to the teaching profession.

The teaching methods of this programme aim to encourage students to challenge and extend their understanding of early childhood education in general and their own practice in particular.  Approaches to teaching are generally interactive and non-didactic.  Students will be encouraged to reflect and build on their practical experience through participation in workshops, seminars and tutorials in a stimulating teaching and learning environment.  You will learn the art of being flexible, adaptable and resourceful, able to work not only with young children but also with a wide variety of adults in the community.  There will also be a substantial input in business management preparing our graduates in future entrepreneurship and business potential.
