The TCM programme at Xiamen University (XMU) was established in 1956. More than 20,000 graduates, who came from more than 50 countries and regions, have successfully completed the programme. The programme is supported by the Medical College at XMU and 7 affiliated tertiary hospitals (the highest level in the Chinese hospital classification).
The Medical College is overseeing several leading scientific research centres such as the Biomedical Engineering Research Centre, the Anticancer Research Centre, the Basic Medical Experimental and Teaching Centre, and the Chinese Medicine Research Centre of Xiamen University. Some of the featured research areas include: TCM research of endemic diseases in Fujian and Taiwan, TCM information based research, TCM tongue diagnosis, and TCM modernisation studies.
Our programme at Xiamen University Malaysia aims to develop skilled, competent and compassionate TCM practitioners who are able to apply problem-solving techniques and evidence-based knowledge in the diagnosis, treatment and management of their patients.
