Diploma in Early Childhood Education

Governments and parents worldwide are investing heavily in Early Childhood Education (ECE), so it has recently become a fast
growing business opportunity both at home and overseas. The Malaysian government recognizes that the early years of life are critical in the development of children and is therefore committed to providing quality education for its youngest citizens.

This programme will fully equip students with the theoretical knowledge, teaching pedagogies, practical skills and holistic understanding of young children's development, learning needs and growth. The programme covers various ECE specialties such as: child development, creativity through music, movement, art and drama, teaching mathematics and sciences to young children, language and literacy, health, safety and nutrition, infant and toddler care and teaching social studies to young children.

Upon completion of this programme, MCKL graduates will be offered other pathways to earn a globally recognized degree either in Ireland or U.K. with just an additional one year of study abroad to support their career goals. Graduates may also seek employment in the ECE field as a qualified practitioner.
