Like the Internet, network applications have made a tremendous impact on industry, commerce, education and society. Students will have the opportunity to develop skills in analysis, design, implementation and evaluation of many aspects of network computing using new and established techniques and software tools. 

This programme provides students with a solid foundation in Internet networking, telecommunication systems and mathematical principles. Students are equipped with the knowledge of setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining a network. They learn hands-on skills such as configuring a switch. 

This programme will develop their skills in information communication technology principles and design to enable them to specify and develop network communication systems solutions. Students will become familiar with the different technologies currently available, and upon completion of this programme, they will be able to specify and manage the implementation of a range of networking systems.

  • A pass in Matriculation or Foundation studies with minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a credit in Additional Mathematics or Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent OR

  • A pass in STPM with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in any 2 subjects and a credit in Additional Mathematics or Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent OR

  • A Diploma in Computer Science OR Software Engineering OR Information Technology OR Information Systems or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and a credit in Additional Mathematics or Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent. Candidates with CGPA below 2.5 but above 2.0 with a credit in additional mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process OR

  • Any other Diploma in science and technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process and a credit in Additional Mathematics or Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

  • Candidates without a credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted if the Diploma programme contains subjects in mathematics that are equivalent to Additional Mathematics or Mathematics at SPM level.

  • Candidate with a credit in computing related subject at SPM or STPM level or its equivalent may be given preferential consideration. AND
