Software engineers are expected to develop systematic models and reliable techniques for producing high-quality software on time and within a budget. 

This programme aims to provide students with a solid foundation of the concept and the underlying principles of software engineering. It contains significantly more software related courses and places a greater emphasis in cultivating an understanding of and experience in the software process. 

The programme equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyse, design, develop, test and implement, evaluate, maintain and document a large scale software system.

  • STPM or equivalent - 2Cs and a credit in SPM Add Maths
  • UEC - 5Bs including Add Maths
  • Foundation/Matriculation/Asasi - CGPA 2.00 AND a credit in SPM Add Maths
  • Diploma (in a related field) - CGPA 2.50 and a credit in SPM Add Maths can be accepted subject to internal evaluation.

  • TOEFL - 410 (PBT)/34 (iBT)
  • Pearson - 36
  • MUET - 3

*International students with qualifications from educational systems where English language is the main medium of instruction are exempted from this requirement.

International students who do not fulfil the English Language Requirements may join the Intensive English Programme at Nilai University which builds their skills in the language and prepares them for the TOEFL examination
