Tool and Dye Technologist plan and execute the entire sequence of tool and dye construction from design to final machined product in which the parts they make enable machines to produce a variety of products used in a number of different industries. The tool and dye technologist will perform the high-precision hand fitting, positioning, aligning and assembly techniques involved in the production of stamping dyes and therefore they need a mechanical aptitude, the ability to understand and analyse the operation of machinery, attention to detail since the work involves intricate manipulation of tools and instruments.
