Over the next decade the landscape of the world will be hugely transformed as new and exciting engineering projects materialise, such as the world’s first shipping tunnel, a space age underwater hotel and the world’s biggest shopping mall.

At the heart of these projects are civil engineers who plan and build structures such as bridges, buildings, transport systems and dams. The majority of civil engineering careers are with engineering firms or construction companies and the largest percentage of civil engineering careers are as structural engineers.

  • Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 2 (Local Student) AND Pass STPM/A-Level or its equivalent with minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant Science subject AND Pass SPM/O-Level or its equivalent with at least a pass in English OR
  • Recognised Diploma in Engineering / Engineering Technology or its equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.0 OR
  • Recognised related Vocational and Technical / Skills Diploma with minimum CGPA 2.0 AND a pass in English at SPM level AND


English Proficiency Requirement for International student
  • IELTS 5.0 OR
  • TOEFL iBT 34 OR
  • TOEFL PBT 410-413 OR
  • CAE160 (Cambridge Advance English) OR
  • CPE 180 (Cambridge Proficiency English) OR
  • CFE 154-161 (Cambridge First English) OR
  • PTE 36 (Pearson Test of English Academic) OR
  • MUET Band 3
