The XMUM Foundation in Science is a one-year programme targeting students with an interest in pursuing a science-related higher education. The programme enables students to embark on an undergraduate programme of their own choice in the areas of Marine Science, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Energy Science, and Information and Communication Technology at XMUM.

SPM/SPMV | A pass with at least Grade B in 2 subjects and Grade C in 3 subjects
UEC | A pass with at least Grade B in 3 subjects
O-Level | A pass with at least Grade B in 2 subjects and Grade C in 3 subjects
Other equivalent qualifications

Academic Track: Biological Science

Grade C in Mathematics and 2 science subjects and a pass in Bahasa Melayu and English in SPM or other equivalent qualifications; or
Grade C in Mathematics and 2 science subjects and a pass in English in O-level or other equivalent qualifications; or
Grade B in Mathematics and 2 science subjects, and a pass in Bahasa Melayu and English in UEC or other equivalent qualifications.

Academic Track: Physical Science

Grade C in Mathematics, Additional Mathematics and 1 physical science subject, and a pass in Bahasa Melayu and English in SPM or other equivalent qualifications; or
Grade C in Mathematics, Additional Mathematics and 1 physical science subject, and a pass in English in O-level or other equivalent qualifications; or
Grade B in Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics and 1 physical science subject, and a pass in Bahasa Melayu and English in UEC or other equivalent qualifications.

Note: Physical science subjects are Chemistry and Physics
