The computer games industry is a significant and developing contributor to the national economy. Games creation requires the collaboration of experts from a diversity of fields: from visual and audio design, programming, project management and entrepreneurship.

This highly interactive course, taught by a leading game designer, is an excellent primer on all topics surrounding the computer gaming industry. This course is academically challenging and will develop a student’s skills in mathematics, real-time graphics, console game development and hardware architecture.

The Games Technology programme offers students an opportunity to study the interactive design process and theories underpinning the design and development of computer game engines. In addition to the theoretical elements students will learn and use software applications to apply their understanding of games technology.

A pass in Matriculation or Foundation studies with minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a credit in Additional Mathematics or Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent OR

A pass in STPM with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in any 2 subjects and a credit in Additional Mathematics or Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent OR

A Diploma in Computer Science OR Software Engineering OR Information Technology OR Information Systems or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and a credit in Additional Mathematics or Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent.

Note: Candidates with CGPA below 2.5 but above 2.0 with a credit in additional mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process OR

Any other Diploma in science and technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process and a credit in Additional Mathematics or Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Note: Candidates without a credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted if the Diploma programme contains subjects in mathematics that are equivalent to Additional Mathematics or Mathematics at SPM level. Candidate with a credit in computing related subject at SPM or STPM level or its equivalent may be given preferential consideration. AND
